The SAFETYCAR® Automobile Fire Extinguisher is a fully automatic, fast-acting and reliable “fire extinguisher in a tube”. Available in different systems, lengths and configurations, it is engineered for flexible installation in petrol, diesel and hybrid engine bays, electric vehicle front compartments and other fire-prone areas within a vehicle.
When exposed to fire, the temperature-sensitive SAFETYCAR Fire Extinguisher Tube activates at approximately 120°C (248°F), releasing pressurised SCL25™ Clean Agent directly at the source of the flames.
SAFETYCAR is an automatic fire suppression system engineered specifically for automotive use. Instead of using a separate storage cylinder, SCL25™ Clean Agent is stored under pressure inside a flexible, temperature-sensitive tube installed directly within the protected compartment.

The SAFETYCAR Fire Extinguisher Tube is installed around the components requiring protection. SCL25™ Clean Agent is stored under pressure within the temperature-sensitive tube.

The SAFETYCAR® Fire Extinguisher Tube performs both storage and activation functions. It contains pressurised SCL25™ Clean Agent and responds directly to fire-level heat.
When exposed to flames, the tube opens at the hottest point and releases the agent directly into the protected area. Its compact, flexible construction allows it to be installed around engines, batteries, electrical equipment and other components where conventional cylinder-based systems may be difficult to fit.
SCL25™ Clean Agent is a clean fire suppressant effective against Class A, B, C and electrical fires.
When SAFETYCAR activates, the agent is released as a pressurised fine mist before vaporising and dispersing within the protected compartment. Unlike conventional dry powder or foam extinguishers, it leaves no corrosive residue on engines, wiring or sensitive electronics.

The SAFETYCAR EV Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] is designed for electric vehicle front compartments and frunks.
Depending on the vehicle, these areas may contain the 12V auxiliary battery, wiring, fuse and relay boxes, power distribution components and electronic control modules. The SAFETYCAR EV Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] provides automatic protection around these components without requiring any connection to the EV.
The system is not installed inside the traction battery and is not sold as a system for extinguishing a developed high-voltage battery thermal-runaway fire.
Instead, it provides automatic first-line protection against fires involving the auxiliary battery, wiring and electronic equipment located within the protected front compartment.
SAFETYCAR Automatic Fire Suppression Systems are installed in classic and vintage automobiles, high-performance and track cars, daily-driven vehicles and electric vehicles around the world.
SAFETYCAR systems are available in multiple lengths for complete vehicle compartments and smaller targeted applications. Each system contains a calibrated volume of SCL25™ Clean Agent for the area it is designed to protect.
The 2.5m (8.2′) system is the recommended length for complete engine-bay protection in petrol, diesel and hybrid cars, and is the standard length used for electric vehicle front-compartment installations.
The 1.25m (4.1′) system is ideally suited to supplementary fuel pumps, fuel tanks, battery compartments and other enclosed areas smaller than a typical car engine bay.
The 0.75m (2.5′) system is designed for smaller enclosed spaces, including electrical boxes, fuse and relay compartments, gloveboxes and other localised fire-prone areas within a vehicle.
Additional lengths and application-specific configurations are available for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) orders and specialist projects.
Vehicle fires can develop rapidly from fuel leaks, electrical faults, overheated components or collision damage. Portable extinguishers depend on somebody being present, able to reach the extinguisher and willing to approach the vehicle.
SAFETYCAR is already installed within the protected compartment and reacts automatically when exposed to fire-level heat.
This allows the system to provide continuous protection while the car is driven, parked, stored or charged.
SAFETYCAR requires no electrical connection to the vehicle. The flexible tube is secured within the protected compartment and routed around the components requiring protection.
Most passenger vehicles can be equipped in under 30 minutes, depending on the application. The system can be removed and reinstalled when major servicing or repair work is carried out.
