The SAFETYCAR Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] is a fully automatic “fire extinguisher in a tube” engineered to provide 24/7 fire protection within car engine bays and other enclosed automotive compartments—even while the vehicle is parked and unattended.
Installed close to the components being protected, the flexible SAFETYCAR tube can be routed around engines, fuel systems, oil lines, batteries, wiring and electrical equipment. When exposed to heat from a fire, the temperature-sensitive tube opens at the hottest point and releases SCL25™ Clean Agent directly at the source of the flames.
The system requires no sensors, electrical wiring, batteries or connection to the vehicle. It remains continuously active without drawing power or requiring manual activation.

SAFETYCAR systems are available in multiple lengths for complete vehicle compartments and smaller targeted applications. Each system contains a calibrated volume of SCL25™ Clean Agent for the area it is designed to protect.
2.5m System
The 2.5m (8.2′) system contains a calibrated volume of SCL25™ Clean Agent for complete engine-bay protection in passenger vehicles. Recommended length for all petrol, diesel and hybrid cars.
1.25m System
The 1.25m (4.1′) system is ideal for the cabin, or for supplementary fuel pumps, fuel tanks, battery compartments and other enclosed areas smaller than a typical car engine bay.
0.75m System
The 0.75m (2.5′) system is designed for enclosed spaces including electrical, fuse and relay compartments, gloveboxes and other small areas you wish to protect from fire.
Additional lengths and application-specific configurations are available for OEM orders and specialist projects.

The SAFETYCAR Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] is a self-activating car fire extinguisher engineered to provide reliable protection within vehicle engine bays and other enclosed automotive compartments.
Unlike a portable car fire extinguisher that must be retrieved and operated manually, SAFETYCAR is permanently installed close to the components being protected. It responds automatically when exposed to fire-level temperatures, allowing the system to suppress an early-stage fire even when the vehicle is parked or unattended.
SAFETYCAR complements a conventional portable fire extinguisher by providing an immediate and localised response at the source of the fire.
FULLY AUTOMATIC
The SAFETYCAR Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] provides continuous fire protection without requiring external power, electronic sensors or connection to the vehicle’s electrical system.
No manual activation is required. The temperature-sensitive tube itself detects fire-level heat and releases the extinguishing agent directly at the hottest point.
The system remains continuously active throughout its 5-year rated service life, whether the vehicle is being driven, stored or parked unattended.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
When a fire occurs, the temperature-sensitive SAFETYCAR tube opens at the point where the heat is most intense.
This releases SCL25™ Clean Agent at high pressure directly at the source of the fire, rapidly suppressing flames without leaving powder, foam or corrosive residue behind.
Because the tube opens at the hottest point, the extinguishing agent is discharged where it is needed most rather than being released from a fixed remote nozzle.

HEAT-SENSITIVE TUBE
The SAFETYCAR Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] uses a heat-sensitive tube manufactured from a high-performance polymer.
The tube contains SCL25™ Clean Agent under pressure. When exposed to fire and temperatures of approximately 120°C (248°F), the tube opens at the hottest point and releases the stored fire-suppression compound directly at the source of the flames.
Unlike systems that depend on separate detectors, control units, wiring or external power, the SAFETYCAR tube performs both the heat-detection and discharge functions.
Clean FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT
The SAFETYCAR Automatic Fire Suppression System [PROFESSIONAL] uses SCL25™ Clean Agent, a clean and odourless liquid that discharges as a gas.
SCL25™ rapidly suppresses fire by interrupting the chemical reaction of combustion. Its discharge also produces a cooling effect within the protected compartment, helping to reduce surrounding temperatures, limit heat transfer and protect adjacent components from escalating fire damage.
The agent is effective against Class A, Class B, Class C and electrical fires while leaving no powder, foam or damaging residue on engines, wiring or sensitive electronic components.
ENGINEERED FOR Automobiles
The flexible but durable SAFETYCAR tube is designed to follow the layout of the vehicle and surround the components requiring protection.
Depending on the vehicle, the tube may be installed:
- On the underside of the bonnet
- Around the perimeter of the engine bay
- Above the engine and fuel system
- Around batteries and electrical components
- Near fuel pumps, fuel tanks or oil reservoirs
- Within fuse, relay or equipment compartments
- Along suitable mounting points within the protected area
The tube should be positioned to provide effective coverage without contacting sharp edges, exhaust components, moving parts or surfaces that exceed the specified operating-temperature range.
Fire-rated reusable cable ties are included. Professional installation is recommended to ensure appropriate routing, secure mounting and effective coverage of the identified risk area.

The system protects only the area around which it has been correctly installed. SAFETYCAR provides an additional layer of automatic fire protection but cannot guarantee that every fire will be prevented, completely extinguished or prevented from spreading.
